Front Desk Design creates engaging websites that embody your style and appeal to your clients. We work with you to develop clean graphics and easy navigational structures. We provide design proofs to you on the Internet so you can envision how it will feel to land at your site. We provide a 'test site' unrelated to your current site where you can watch the progress of the site development and test each feature. We make sure each page is ready for search engine submittal by helping you with keyword density, metatags, etc.

The Design and Development Process

If you're located anywhere in or near the Columbia River Gorge, we would be glad to meet you in your office to discuss the options available to you. This initial meeting is completely free.  If you're not in Oregon or Washington, we can meet with you via phone or Skype.

1. From this meeting we send a quote that documents our understanding and details the phases and charges for each phase. Each option will be priced independently so that you can choose the options that fit within your budget.

2. Once we receive notification that you wish to proceed, we request that you send us any existing graphics and text that you want to be used on the site.

3. We will create a draft design of the home page of the site. This draft will be created in Photoshop so that it is easy to make any changes you like (including starting over). We will work with you to finalize the design. If you want to start from scratch, we will create up to three designs at the stated price. Other design layouts can be provided for an additional fee.

4. Your site can continue to be hosted at your current provider or we can host it on our servers. See the Web Hosting page for more information about our hosting services.

5. Once the home page design is finalized we will create an overall design to use on the remaining pages (generally the other pages in the site have a similar look and navigation structure).

6. FDD will develop the site in HTML, Flash and Javascript (as needed) and prepare it for your review. The site will be search engine friendly and easy to navigate.

7. You will review the site and request any changes. FDD will finalize the site based on your review. Two full review cycles are included in the initial quote.

8. Once you’ve given final approval, FDD will launch your new site and submit it to the major search engines. We’ll also setup a site map that helps search engines index your site and send you a packet of information on Search Engine Optimization and site promotion techniques.

We have a large private collection of photographs of regional interest including:

• Area mountains including Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Jefferson and Sisters.
• Oregon and Washington waterfalls, hiking trails, wildflowers and scenic views.
• Historic Landmarks and Points of Interest
• Street scenes of Hood River, The Dalles, and other Columbia Gorge cities.

We can include some of these stock photos in your site free of charge.
